Labs

Social Sciences Computing supports the computing needs of faculty, staff, and students in the Social Sciences division by providing computer labs for personal, training, and instructional use. These labs are available to faculty, undergraduate students taking a Social Sciences course and both graduate and undergraduate students in a Social Science Major. Social Sciences Computing has six labs available for instructional purposes during the academic year. The main labs are located at 2041 Public Policy but other labs are located at Bunche and at Haines. Most of the labs are available for drop-in use when the labs are not in session. Social Sciences Computing is a part of the CLICC consortium.

Lab Reservation and Hours

Labs may be reserved by instructors or staff members by contacting Alberto Alquicira.
A regularly updated list of reserved classes is available. A copy of the lab reservations will also be available at the front desk and posted on the counter and wall by each lab doorway.
Reservations for instructional or training purposes must be made in advance and only by instructors or staff to ensure appropriate use. Priority is given to Social Sciences courses, workshops, and lectures. All lab equipment is available for use during instructional and training sessions. Lab consultants are available to go over any lab procedures or equipment instructions prior to class meeting date.
Please inform SSC, in a timely manner, of any cancellations regarding lab reservations. Contact Alberto Alquicira.
